Out beyond wrong doings and right doings, there is a field. I will meet you there.

Rachel Barry, MSW, LCSW

Rachel is a licensed clinical social worker who provides therapy to individuals who are searching for an increased sense of emotional well-being and inner peace. She firmly believes that we all hold the answers within ourselves, but that we sometimes just need a little help accessing our own truth. Rachel utilizes motivational interviewing, strengths-based interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy in her work with clients. She has a strong background working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and substance use. Rachel honors the individual and is inclusive of all cultural, religious, and political perspectives.

Rachel believes in the importance of using proper assessment tools for identifying areas of struggle, and she considers it an honor to be able to witness the growth and healing that takes place within individuals through the therapy process.

Rachel earned both her Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Social Work from Kennesaw State University. She began her career as a therapist in the hospital setting and has worked at several treatment centers in Atlanta, including Ridgeview Institute and Alana Recovery. Rachel now has the great pleasure of serving clients in private practice.

“Emotion, which is suffering, ceases to be suffering as soon
as we form a clear and precise picture of it.”
